Principe | The MTG-CovTest uses biotinylated peptide originated from the F-helix of myoglobin (Biotin-pepM) as the first substrate (amine-acceptor/acyl-donor) aand an amine-donor/acyl-acceptor as a second substrate. In the presence of MTgase (suspected to be contained in the samples), the gamma carboxamide of the glutaminyl residue of the Biotin-pepM is incorporated into the amine substrate to form biotinylated isopetide bound. The quantity of biotin incorporated is related to the transglutaminase activity and is revealed by a peroxidase colorimetric reaction. |
