LIGANDS :
RECEPTORS :
CD137L (4-1BBL) is expressed on activated macrophages, dendritic cells and mature B cells. This ligand and its receptor CD137 (4-1BB) have been reported to be involved in tumor rejection, apoptosis, anti-viral immunity, diabetes, T and B cell co-stimulation and modulation of the immune response. Crosslinking of CD137 enhances T cell proliferation, IL-2 secretion, cytolytic activity and survival. In addition, CD137 was shown to enhance immune activity to eliminate tumors in mice.
